I have been to the bus museum today in Ravensthorpe... the name 'museum' is perhaps a little misleading ;0) but here are the two prettiest buses.

Catalogue of Extraordinary Objects...
Helaina and I went to collect some fairies from The Platform Gallery in Clitheroe recently. On route we stumbled upon a ‘Vintage Fair’ in a little place called Whalley. The fair had little to offer in the way of real ‘Vintage’ but we did find a fantastic studio book….

Ukulele!
As promised, here is a photo of the present I picked up in Hebden Bridge, before Christmas... a liquorice allsorts tin turned into a ukulele! Amazing! A very ingenious man called Rob made it.

Christmas shopping...
Yesterday, I went to Hebden Bridge to pick up some Christmas gifts (which I'll share with you after the day - don't want to spoil any surprises!) I called into my favourite shops, to see Hannah Nunn at Radiance (so many beautiful lights...,) I also bumped into Cathy Edwards (who makes gorgeous leather bags) at the Heart Gallery. For the first time, I also called into Snug Gallery where there were so many lovely things...
Anyway, I've got one more commission to finish before Christmas, so, back to making wire windows!

Made by hand...
Samantha and I have been busy bees, and to prove it, here are photos of our stands at Made By Hand, which took place at Tredegar House in Newport, South Wales the first weekend in December. It always takes us a long time to set up... And I was almost the last to leave!

| Getting there... We had a lovely weekend, and I'd like to thank my neighbour Sally Pawson, with her sunny disposition and jewellery, for keeping me entertained! Samantha was very lucky to be next to Heather Shaw, a Huddersfield based jeweller (and our third transit van angel!) |

Morecambe...
I've been to Morecambe today, this is the very grand Winter Gardens.
These birds are part of the tern project.

I also went to Kirby Lonsdale and had some amazing lemon cake in Emily's tearoom and did some Christmas shopping :0)

Gigs in libraries...
Tonight I went to a gig at Lancaster library...what a grand building...
I had a coconut cupcake.... they were personalised 'Summer Camp - welcome to Condale' (The band and album title.) Yum!

The first band on was 'Alt-J'...they made me smile.
Here are Summer camp doing a little acoustic number...
And to prove it was in a library, here is the 'Books in different languages' section.
This gig was part of 'get it loud in libraries' - a novel way to get people to visit and use libraries - a great idea!

Beautiful Bruges....
Samantha and I went to Bruges this weekend - here are the edited highlights...
We went up the clock tower in the main square, all 366 steps! The amazing 'clock a matic' mechanism made the 26 bells chime, very impressive. We wandered for ages (and got a little lost) but we discovered so many beautiful buildings... I would highly recommend a visit!

Kirklees light railway...
Today I have been to Kirklees Light Railway with my family (train journeys a family tradition!) Here are a few highlights... the diesel engine, the train driver, and his amazing beard, sat in his engine and the steam engine on the turning circle. A very enjoyable afternoon!
Sheffield Cathedral is a beautiful setting for a gig...
I've had a busy weekend... I went to Sheffield on Saturday to see the matinee performance of Laura Marling at the Cathedral. Such a grand setting for an amazing gig... goose bumps!

Steeeeam train and bettys....
A gang of us went on the Scarborough Express to York yesterday...very exciting. Whilst in York, we went to little Betty's (I had tea and a toasted teacake, yum, and Samantha had a delicious vanilla slice,) here is a photo of the clock on the stairs (where we had to queue for a few minutes.)
