Ta Daaaaa..... HOST is this weekend!

Sooo, it's taken a day and a half, but finally, we're tidy!  (Well, when I say tidy, please don't expect a miracle, by tidy, I mean we can see alot more of the floor space and the piles of stuff are now neatly-ish stacked.)
Our studio at The West Yorkshire Print Workshop in Mirfield will be open tomorrow (17th September) and Sunday, 11am - 5pm.  There will be 15 artists, in total, exhibiting here, so lots to see!

CAPE UK Creative Summer Scheme.....Swans

It floats!!

So does mine...
Taking shape...
Minor adjustments...
On a journey...
My favorite...
Over the summer I have been working on a ‘CAPE UK’ Creative Family Summer Scheme.
The final day was held in Greenhead Park, Huddersfield. We had glorious weather despite the forecast.  For this day of celebration  I designed a floating swan project. Families each made their own swan to float on the pond.  The idea being they would let them float free with a message of peace.  It did not work out quite as planned, people became attached to their birds. They each made loan test voyages and were then taken home to be kept as pets?

Most importantly the day was enjoyed by all involved.  Many swans did float during the day....just not on mass. They would have frightened the ducks anyway!

Steeeeam train and bettys....

A gang of us went on the Scarborough Express to York yesterday...very exciting.  Whilst in York, we went to little Betty's (I had tea and a toasted teacake, yum, and Samantha had a delicious vanilla slice,) here is a photo of the clock on the stairs (where we had to queue for a few minutes.)
